You’re invited to the Center for Dance on Sunday, November 13, for our first Community Performance Series production of the season, The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Performances take place at 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:30 PM. This interactive, narrated ballet will explore musical elements and instruments! Beginning with an immersive exploration of rhythm, improvisation and storytelling, the audience will become the dancers and choreographers. The finale piece, Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, brings each section of the orchestra to life. Plus, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will be sharing their Instrument Petting Zoo.
Mercy Health Screenings
Our partners at Mercy Health are excited to announce two opportunities for dancer screenings.

Complimentary Injury Screenings
Academy students are invited to drop by the Mercy Health Clinic at the Center for Dance for a free dance injury screening during Family Observation Week Monday-Friday, 5:00 - 8:00 PM. No appointment needed. Just drop in and meet Mercy's great team of Athletic Trainers!

Preventative Cardiac Screening Program
On Saturday, November 19, dancers ages 12-22 are invited to receive a high level mobile cardiac assessment that gives a baseline heart evaluation, performed by registered cardiac sonographers, with results read by a team of pediatric and general cardiologists that can be shared with your medical provider. Each test is approximately 10-12 minutes, and the $79 cost can be covered by your healthcare or flex care spending account. Please see the linked flier below for registration details.
