Welcome New Faculty And Students
This month we are celebrating several new part-time faculty members. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Sam Epstein, Helen Jardon, Grace Shivers, Cassidy Steele, Rose Sunila, and Rebecca Walther, rounding out our remarkable team of teachers for the 2022-2023 Academy Year.

We also welcomed our 2022-2023 Professional Training Division students. Classes began September 6 with 30 dancers and they are already hard at work preparing for their Fall Showcase on October 29 and our Community Performance Series on November 13-14.

This month, we are excited to welcome our
CB Moves students back to the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance, with classes beginning next week. Please be conscious of wheelchairs and mobility aids in the parent and student lounges and help us give a warm welcome to all our CB Moves families, including many brand new to our programs this year!

Fall Break
Don’t forget! Please note that CB Moves and Adult Dance + Fitness classes will continue as scheduled during Fall Break, and Young Performers Cast rehearsals continue for any students involved in upcoming productions. The Administrative office will also remain open that week during regular business hours and can be reached, as usual, at cbacademy@cballet.org or 513.562.1111.
Adult Dance + Fitness: Introducing The VM Workout
Our 2022-2023 Adult Dance + Fitness schedule launched back in August, with expanded offerings in ballet, contemporary, modern, street dance, barre fitness, and more. We are also thrilled to announce this fall, The VM Workout, a new class offering designed by Cincinnati Ballet's very own Victoria Morgan. In this dance-based fitness class, participants explore a combination of ballet, contemporary and yoga-styled movement propelled by popular tunes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Join Victoria in the studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 9:50 AM.

To learn more and sign up for any of our adult classes, please visit the link below. Classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the week, are open to ages 16 and up, and all experience levels are welcome… so jump in and explore the joy of movement at Cincinnati Ballet!

Ballet and Beer
Ballet and Beer is a community engagement event series providing an insider’s view into Cincinnati Ballet Company rehearsals, followed by drinks, light bites, and socializing. This season we will host happy hour style events at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance in Walnut Hills, with the first coming up on Thursday, October 20 from 4:30-7:00 PM. These events are free to attend but due to space limitations for the rehearsals, advanced reservations are encouraged. Events include a cash bar. We hope you’ll join us!
Master Class Series
Save the date for our next Master Class event featuring Gonzalo Garcia!

Former San Francisco Ballet and New York City Ballet principal dancer, Gonzalo Garcia, will present a master class on Saturday, October 29, from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Sheakley Family Premier Studio.

Registration and observation details will be sent soon!
Mercy Health Screening Program
Our partners at Mercy Health are excited to announce a preventative cardiac screening program for young dancers, ages 12-22. This event will be held on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM in their training room on site here at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance. Eligible dancers are invited to receive a high level mobile cardiac assessment that gives a baseline heart evaluation, performed by registered cardiac sonographers, with results read by a team of pediatric and general cardiologists that can be shared with your medical provider. Each test is approximately 10-12 minutes, and the $79 cost can be covered by your healthcare or flex care spending account.
