A special welcome back to our families as we return from Fall Break! We hope you enjoyed a bit of time to refresh and recharge, ready to dive in to the second half of the semester. There’s so much to celebrate as we turn the corner into November!
Family Observation Week
Our Fall Family Observation Week is November 17-23, and we look forward to welcoming Academy families into the studio classroom to witness the hard work and artistry your students bring to class every week. Select classes for each division and track will be open for observation. Emails will be sent later this month with specific details for your dancer’s schedule. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us! We can’t wait to show you the progress happening in the studio!

Family Observation Week
November 17 - 23, 2025

CB Moves families, in lieu of Family Observation Week, we invite you to join us for CB Moves Family Dance Days at the conclusion of the semester. Mark your calendar for December 15-21 and join us for this special opportunity to welcome family members into the studio.
First Class Free Continues
Our First Class Free campaign continues this fall! As we welcome new students to the studio (please spread the word to friends and neighbors!) we also invite currently enrolled students to explore a new class with a free single-session class in an elective offering. This offer extends to new adult students too! Join us for a complimentary class in any one of our Adult Dance + Fitness classes at the Valentine Center for Dance. Sign up today at the link below!

Student Performance Ensemble Winter Showcase
Save the date for the Student Performance Ensemble's Winter Showcase! On Sunday, December 7, the Ensemble presents a mixed repertory production sure to delight all ages, featuring excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker along with an elegant work by Charlotte Ballet's Heather Ferguson and a premiere by Second Company Dancer Ciarán Barlow. Our entire Academy community is invited to celebrate this festive seasonal showcase!

November Holiday Breaks
Don’t forget! All Academy programs will take a short break later this month in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, but dates for those breaks vary among different programs. Please review the specifics below as you mark your calendars.

Children’s, Preparatory, Community, Young Dancer, and Advanced Divisions:
No classes Wednesday, November 26, through Sunday, November 30.

CB Moves and Professional Training Division: No classes Monday, November 24, through Sunday, November 30.

Leap into the jazz age with the North American premiere of choreographer Septime Webre’s opulent The Great Gatsby at the Aronoff Center, November 7 – 15, 2025. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic 1925 novel, this production features stylish dancing, shocking scandals, and live jazz music.
