Welcome to the 2024-2025 Otto M. Budig Academy Season!
We’re thrilled to have dancers from our Preparatory, Community, Young Dancer, Advanced, and Professional Training Divisions back in the studio, and we can’t wait to welcome Children’s Division dancers next week. Registration remains open, even after classes begin! If you have friends who’d like to join you in the studio this year, please encourage them to reach out!
Academy newsletters will be delivered to your inbox at the beginning of each month, and they’re a great way to stay in the know on all things happening at Cincinnati Ballet and with our Academy community. If you’re reading this on the web or because someone shared it with you, but not getting it directly to your inbox, you may have unsubscribed from Cincinnati Ballet emails. Please visit the link below and ensure the “Academy Youth Classes and Programs” box is checked for your email address.

Absence Reporting and Make-up Class Scheduling
If a student needs to miss class, please notify the Academy Administrative Office via the channels below. Students who need to be absent for any reason are welcome to request a make-up class in their same level or a level lower. Because class sizes are limited, students should request to participate in a make-up class and receive approval prior to arrival. Make-up classes can be requested in the Absence Notification Form or by calling the Academy Administrative Office.
For absence reporting, please use one of the following channels: Absence Notification Online Form
By Phone: 513.562.1111 (Option 1)
Remind
The Academy uses Remind to send families reminders, emergency alerts and other notifications via text, push notification or email. If you'd like to change your notification settings (or re-subscribe if you’ve previously blocked these messages) learn more HERE. If you'd like to change who receives these notifications, please contact us.
Additional Resources and Support
When in doubt, the best way to communicate with the Academy team throughout the year is by: Email: cbacademy@cballet.org
Phone: 513.562.1111
(Please leave a message if you reach our voicemail! We’ll call you back!)
These are shared channels monitored by multiple members of our team and will help ensure your request is seen quickly and by someone who can best support you.
During class hours on evenings and weekends, our Student Experience Representatives are stationed at a standing desk either in the lobby or near the student lounge, poised to support new families, students waiting for class or arriving late, and otherwise helping to ensure positive experiences in our shared spaces.
Finally, the For Academy Parents page on our website is worth bookmarking! This webpage has helpful forms and resources, and we’ll continue to update the page as new things happen throughout the season.
